August 02 (KNO) : Sopore police arrested gang of 24 smugglers from Rampur area of Sopore district who were involved in timber smuggling in the area.
Recoveries have already been made by Sopore Police. The arrested accused persons have been identified as Rameez Ahmad Lone, Gulzar Ahmad Tantray, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Ashiq Hussain Tantray, Akhter Lone and Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, involved in case FIR number 02/2017, Nissar Ahmad Lone, Shabir Ahmad Lone, both involved in FIR number 245/2013, Nazir Ahmad Lone involved in case FIR number 106/2018, Ghulam Mohd Lone, Jameel Ahmad Lone, Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Farooq Ahmad Tantray, Nazir Ahmad Ganie, Ab. Qayoom Bhat, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, Khursheed Ahmad Lone, Irshad Ahmad Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Abdul Hameed Lone, Mohammad Jamal Lone, Lateef Ahmad Lone and Mohammad Amin Lone, all involved in case FIR number 208/2012. All the arrestees are residents of Rampora, Sopore.
